The last week of school was abuzz with activity as students ventured out into the community to touch the hearts of so many people:
- Students in Bhakti Bhavan visited with Mother Yadu, who lives next door, to present a card and sing a verse from the Bhagavad-Gita.
- Students in Audarya Bhavan made 3 home visits throughout the Alachua community – bringing cheer through kirtan and good tidings wherever they went.
- Students in Madhurya Bhavan and Krishna Sharanam visited businesses in Alachua and Gainesville to give out prasaam cakes and Srila Prabhpada’s books. In all they distributed 168 cakes and 114 books.
- Our entire community of families donated an incredible amount of food items to help those in need. Over 40 pounds of food was delivered to the Community Unity food bank.
Special thanks to Sukhada for leading our book distribution groups, Mukhya for baking all the cakes they distributed, and Varuni and Anangamanjari for driving students.
