Hiring - School Receptionist

The Bhaktivedanta Academy, a spiritually-centered pre-k thru 10th-grade school located in Alachua, Florida, is seeking applicants for the position of School Receptionist.

School Receptionist Role and Qualifications:

Under the supervision of the School Secretary, the School Receptionist greets and assists students, parents, and visitors; answers and directs all telephone calls; communicates via the school’s social media accounts; and performs other school support activities, including student supervision as needed. 

• Able to effectively and professionally communicate orally and in writing using English.

• Experience with word processing, spreadsheet, e-mail, and online communication software.

• Excellent communication and exhibited organizational and follow-through skills.

• Able to pass local, state, and federal criminal background screenings.

• US citizen or possess documentation of right to work in the US.

• Current first aid and CPR certification preferred.

Compensation and Benefits:

Part-time position with hours from 7:45 a.m. - 1:00 p.m. on school days with a minimum starting salary of $15 per hour in addition to benefits, including:

CLICK HERE TO WATCH THE RECORDED OPEN HOUSE EVENT As announced during the event, applications for the 2023-24 school year are now open. We invite you to apply online at www.bhaktischool.org/admissions.  Admission to Bhaktivedanta Academy is a multi-step process with the aim of helping families find the best match between their child and the school. Completion of all the steps in the admissions process is required for an application to be processed. Every application is carefully considered and in no way will a child be denied admission on the basis of race, gender, color, religion, or national origin. Submission of an application does not guarantee enrollment. We are actively working to increase our capacity for the 2023-24 school year and anticipate receiving significantly more applications than we may have space to accept.  Note to families on prior year waitlist: Previous applications cannot be carried forward to this year.
