Admissions Application Link and Open House Event Recording

CLICK HERE TO WATCH THE RECORDED OPEN HOUSE EVENT As announced during the event, applications for the 2023-24 school year are now open. We invite you to apply online at www.bhaktischool.org/admissions.  Admission to Bhaktivedanta Academy is a multi-step process with the aim of helping families find the best match between their child and the school. Completion of all the steps in the admissions process is required for an application to be processed. Every application is carefully considered and in no way will a child be denied admission on the basis of race, gender, color, religion, or national origin. Submission of an application does not guarantee enrollment. We are actively working to increase our capacity for the 2023-24 school year and anticipate receiving significantly more applications than we may have space to accept.  Note to families on prior year waitlist: Previous applications cannot be carried forward to this year. We ask that you re-submit your application using the link above. An additional application fee is not required. Important Dates for January

Hurricane Nicole School Closure Notification

As surreal as it may be, we are expecting a hurricane in November. Hurricane Nicole is forecast to impact our area with tropical-force winds and significant rain starting Wednesday evening.

We are following the lead of the Alachua County Public Schools and planning to close on Thursday. Friday is already a scheduled school holiday for Veterans Day. We plan on resuming school on Monday, November 14, if conditions allow.

The resumption of school will be based on the following:

• Extent of any damage to buildings/facilities
• Amount of debris clean-up required
• Availability of running water (the New Raman Reti Temple has a generator that powers auxiliary wells)
• Resumption of electrical power
• Availability of teaching staff 

We certainly hope the storm’s impact is minimal for Bhaktivedanta Academy, our families, our staff, and our greater community. We will do our best to keep you all updated as much as possible.

Note: our scheduled Spirit Day is postponed to Monday, November 14 (assuming conditions allow). We will have a costume parade starting at 8:15 a.m.
