Audarya Bhavan November Newsletter
Dear Families,
Can you believe it? It’s November! In Audarya Bhavan, we are welcoming November with wonderful events. During the coming weeks, we will be star gazing, celebrating birthdays, worshiping Govardhana Hill, and most of all being thankful for what we have.
We are starting out this month with Deity Day on the 7th. Students may bring in their Deities (worshipable forms of the Lord) for the day. They will be given opportunities to worship their Deities throughout the morning. This event is for students only.
November 8th is our annual “Star Gazing/Sleepover.” This is the night we observe the constellations in the night sky and sleepover in the classroom. The program will include a potluck dinner, movie, and snacks. It’s a lot of fun. More details about the sleepover will be sent home in Friday’s folder. This event is for students only.
We are looking forward to our Govardhana Puja celebration on the 14th and our temple performance on the 18th. Please help us raise money for the New Raman Reti temple cows by offering opportunities for your child to earn money at home with extra chores.
Paper towel tubes + graph paper = fun. Radha Sharma and several other students are writing numbers from 1-10,000. The numbers are written on graph paper and rolled around the tubes, so these tubes are in great demand. If you have any extra paper towel tubes, please bring them to us.
We will celebrate Srila Prabhupada’s (the founder of the Hare Krishna Movement) Disappearance Day on Nov. 16th with special activities and temple functions.
Birthdays this month: Shyamananda 6th, Kalyani 16th, Mother Radha Kunda 19th, Radha 21st
Other important dates: Pupil Holiday/Teacher Workday 2nd, UF Homecoming 12th no school, Thanksgiving Holiday 22nd and 23rd no school. Please check the school calendar for any other events.
We have a lot to be thankful about in Audarya Bhavan, especially the support of our parents. I feel blessed with your support and generosity.
Cordially,
Satyaki dasi
