PTO Meeting Reminder
Wednesday, November 21, 2012 at 1:40PM This coming Tuesday, November 27th at 6:00 p.m. is the next Bhaktivedanta Academy PTO meeting.
The PTO is headed by Adi Gopi Kohair (President), Gaura Shakti Allin (Vice-President), Ananga Manjari Herrera (Secretary), and Sandra Zappini (Treasurer). The PTO's goals are to:
- Support the school in fund raising programs;
- Organize volunteers for the programs that the school is going to do during the year;
- Be a connection between parents and school administration;
- Help develop a feeling of community between families and the school.
In a short period of time the PTO has come together, set direction for the year, and have begun contributing in various ways. The most recent example was our first ever PTO led Harvest Festival. The result was, by all accounts, the best organized and fun festival we have held for the students.
If you have not had an opportunity already, we encourage you to attend a meeting. Being part of the PTO is a great way to connect and share with fellow parents and to actively contribute to the betterment of your child's school.
