Health Policy Reminder

As flu season is upon us, we want to make sure everyone is up to date on our health policies. For the health and safety of all students and teachers, please don't send your child to school if they have any of the following medical conditions or symptoms:

  • Temperature of 100 degrees fahrenheit or higher.
  • Diarrhea (more than one abnormally loose stool within a 24 hour period) with blood or mucus.
  • Vomiting.
  • Fever with sore throat or cough (Influenza).
  • Difficult or rapid breathing.
  • Any condition which prevents a child from participating comfortably or with greater care required than what can be provided at school.

In all cases, children must be free from fever and vomiting for at least 24 hours before returning to school.

Please refer to page 22 of your Family Handbook for more detailed information. As always, feel free to get in touch with us anytime if you have questions.

Here is a guide from the Centers for Disease Control that discusses the best ways to avoid getting sick and preventing the spread of the flu if you or someone does become ill. Please review it when you get an opportunity.

Thank you in advance for your help in keeping students and teachers healthy during this especially severe flu season.
