Grandparents' Day Invitation

Bhaktivedanta Academy's Annual Grandparents Day is Friday, March 17. We have special activities planned and welcome the opportunity for students to share their class with their grandparents (a significant family friend or relative is welcome if a student doesn't have a grandparent who can attend).

The schedule is as follows:

  • Bhakti Bhavan - 8:30 a.m. to 9:15 a.m.
  • Audarya Bhavan - 9:15 a.m. to 10:00 a.m.
  • Madhurya Bhavan - 10:00 a.m. to 10:45 a.m.
  • Krishna Sharanam - 10:45 a.m. - 11:30 a.m.

Please note that the Krishna Sharanam class will be hosting a special event in their class on this day entitled, “Wisdom of the Elders,“ which will include presentations by special guests.

We look forward to seeing our student's grandparents here!

Holy Name Gathering Reminder

The time between Lord Nityananda's and *Lord Chaitanya's appearance days is our annual japa marathon.  Each 1st - 10th grade student has a daily japa meditation goal which they commit to during this period as an offering to Sri Chaitanya Mahaprabhu.  To date our students have chanted close to 2,000 rounds of japa together.

As a nice finale for this special offering, we are hosting a Holy Name Gathering in the Krishna Sharanam classroom on Friday, March 10 from 2:00 p.m. - 2:45 p.m.

We would like to extend an invitation to visit the sacred space created by our students and take darshan of their Pancha Tattva deities while we all chant japa together as an offering to the Lord.

We look forward to having you join us for this  special event!

*Lord Chaitanya is the 15th century incarnation of Lord Krishna who brought us the practice of chanting the Hare Krishna maha mantra:

Hare Krishna Hare Krishna Krishna Krishna Hare Hare

Hare Rama Hare Rama Rama Rama Hare Hare

Prospective Family Open House Recap

Thank you to everyone who joined us (in person and online) for the Prospective Family Open House and Middle Years Programme Overview. It was great to get an opportunity to meet together and talk about the unique educational program Bhaktivedanta Academy offers from Pre-k through 10th grade.

Here are links to the presentations and handouts from the meeting:

If you did not get an opportunity to attend the meeting, please take a little time to review the videos and information linked above as they will give you a general idea of what was discussed.

Applications will begin to be accepted on February 1. One of the criteria we utilize in selecting students for admission is the date of application, so don't delay, as we have a limited number of spaces available this year. You may apply online at www.bhaktischool.org/admissions.

The financial aid programs we offer have their own deadlines that are independent of our admissions schedule and are often on a first come, first served basis. Please take a moment to review the aid programs listed on our website at www.bhaktischool.org/financial-aid.

We also require all applicants to visit the school and observe in the classroom that serves the grade your child will be considered for. Please schedule your observation soon, as time slots tend to fill up quickly. You can schedule by calling 386-462-2886.

Again, thank you for your interest in Bhaktivedanta Academy. We look forward to getting to know you and your child more throughout the admissions process. Don't hesitate to call or email us if have any questions. We can be reached at office@bhaktischool.org or 386-462-2886.
