Storm Closure Make-up Day

We are making up last week’s storm closure this coming Tuesday, January 16. Students in Audarya Bhavan, Madhurya Bhavan, and Krishna Sharanam will start the day at the New Raman Reti Temple at 7:20 a.m.

Please note that Monday, January 15 is still a school holiday for observance of Dr. Martin Luther King Day.

Spirit Day

Our end of 2nd quarter Sprit Day is Friday, January 19. This quarter's Spirit Day theme is "Heads Up." All students are encouraged to participate by coming to school in creative hairdos and hats. Everything goes – hair color (school colors preferred), crazy hats, fancy hats, silly hairdos, etc. Let your imagination fly.

Prospective Family Open House

Our annual open house for families interested in enrollment for the 2017-18 school year is Wednesday, January 24 from 6 p.m. - 7:30 p.m. If you have a younger child ready to enter pre-k, we invite you to attend.

Bike Week

Due to forecasted cold weather during our originally scheduled Bike Week, this event has been moved to the week of February 5.

Have a great weekend!

School In Session Thursday

School will be in session Thursday. It will be below freezing in the morning. Please drive carefully and be on alert for ice on the roads. It is likely that the sidewalks, pick-up/drop-off area, and decks around the school will be slippery in the morning, so tread carefully.
As mentioned yesterday, we will make-up today’s storm closure on Tuesday, January 16.
We look forward to having everyone back on Thursday.

Winter Storm Closure Notice - Wednesday, January 3.

The National Weather Service has issued a Winter Storm Advisory for our area that will result in dangerous driving conditions Wednesday. For the safety of our families and teaching staff, Bhaktivedanta Academy will be closed Wednesday, January 3. We will make-up this closure on Tuesday, January 16.

Alachua County public schools have opted to close Wednesday and Thursday. Unless you hear otherwise from us, Bhaktivedanta Academy will be open Thursday. A final determination will be based on projected road conditions late Wednesday afternoon.

If you do have to be on the roads tomorrow, please drive safe. We look forward to seeing everyone back on Thursday.
